my architect i have decided to use is Renzo Piano, he uses a lot of steel in his construction and i really liek the Kansai International Airport in Osaka. it is an artificial island with the airport on it and the main terminal roof spans a really long distance using three parallel, bending, steel tubular beams which are joined by smaller tubular purlins.

Hey Pat, if you can pull it off, your assignment will look awesome. If you want some more info on Renzo Piano, i found his experimentation with light-weight structures early on in his career really interesting, as he manages to do the same here using steel and glass.
