bunnings warehouse, you can see how the roof is supported by big I beam columns, concreted into the ground and attached to more I beams that taper and become larger in the centre of the roof, these are also supported by smaller columns around the warehouse. Smaller steel battons, attached to the tapering beams support the roof covering. More I beams, runnig parallel to the battons give extra support for the larger beams spanning the width of the warehouse.
